Description
The 9 kg cylinder is the workhorse of South African homes. It runs a two- or three-burner braai, a small gas hob, a camping stove or a gas water heater. Our exchange price includes the gas and the safety check — you bring the empty, we hand over a full one.
Every cylinder is weighed, valve-checked, leak-tested and sealed before it leaves Pretoria West. If you do not have an empty, we can set you up with a cylinder on a refundable deposit.
Good to know
- Filled weight is roughly 18 kg — our driver brings it to your door.
- One 9 kg typically gives 40–50 hours on a medium braai burner.
- Keep it upright, outdoors or in a well-ventilated space, never indoors.
Delivered, not collected
We deliver across Pretoria and Tshwane six days a week. Orders placed before 12:00 can usually go out the same day in Zones A and B; Zone C is generally next-day.
Delivery is free on orders over R1 500. Below that, the fee depends on your suburb and is shown at checkout before you place the order.
Our exchange price assumes you hand the driver an empty cylinder of the same size and gas type. If you do not have one, a refundable deposit applies. We check the valve, test date and body before accepting an empty.

Store it safely
Keep cylinders upright in a ventilated, shaded space — never indoors or in a basement. Keep them away from heat, sparks and ignition sources. Check the hose and regulator with soapy water before use.
If you smell gas, stop, ventilate the area and call us on 012 555 0148. Do not operate electrical switches or naked flames.
